MONALISA Wood Primers are an ideal undercoat for wooden substrates. It provides an opaque finish and acts as an excellent base for the substrate ensuring excellent adhesion to the topcoat. It is suitable for both interior & exterior use.
Direction for Use
- The surface to be primed should be clean and adequately sanded with emery paper 180 to ensure it is free of dust, grease, etc.
- Apply a coat of Monalisa Wood Primer using a brush, roller, or spray.
- Dilute the primer with pure turpentine to achieve the desired consistency. For brush and roller application, it is advised to limit the dilution to 10-12% by volume. For spray application, dilution up to 15% by volume may be required. For best results, painters need to conduct their own trials.
- Any dents or surface imperfections, if required, should be leveled with suitable putty.
- If putty has been used, to avoid a patchy appearance, apply a second coat of Monalisa Wood primer after an interval of 6-8 hours.
- Allow 6-8 hours between each coat of the primer. After applying 2 coats of the primer ensure the surface is hard to dry before applying the top enamel paint. For best results, the finishing coat should be applied after a minimum of 10-12 hours.
- Stir & Strain well before use.
