Red Oxide Metal Primer

Swagat Red Oxide Metal Primer (Anti-Corrosive) is a water-based system manufactured using the latest“CORRECT Technology”.It represents the new direction in paint technology in manufacturing paints that are “eco-friendly”, whilst retaining the critical characteristics we seek from the Metal Primer. Swagat Red Oxide Metal Primer (Anti-Corrosive) uses two-phase technology in providing protection to the metal substrate. First, it inhibits corrosion from the water present in the paint system itself, and secondly its hields the metal substrate from corrosion due to exterior influences su¢h as rain, humidity, etc.

 

Directions for use

Sand the surface thoroughly with Emery Paper 180 to ensure it is clean of dirt, loose particles, rust, scaled or faked paint prior to application of Swagat Red Oxide Metal Primer (Anti-Corrosive). The primer can be thinned with water to obtain the desired brushing consistency (maximum dilution of 10% by volume). It is important to ensure that there is no addition of any solvents for thinning purposes. Normally, two coats of primer are required to provide adequate protection, ensuring an interval of 6-8 hours between each coat. After application of the two primer coats, sand with Emery Paper 320 before application of the topcoat. Swagat @ Red Oxide Metal Primer (Anti-Corrosive) is compatible with commercially available Synthetic Enamels, provide excellent adhesion to the topcoat without any reduction in gloss levels.
