Directions for Use

Sand the substrate initially with Emery Paper 180 followed by subsequent sanding with Emery Paper 400 to make the substrate smooth. Wipe with a clean dry cloth. Apply one or two coats of appropriate Wood Stains to get the desired shade. Allow the Stain to dry for about 1 hour. Seal the surface with one or two coats of Swagat® Acrylic Wood Filler / Sanding Sealer, Melamine Sealer or commercially available NC sanding sealer and sand the surface after each coat properly with Emery Paper 400. Sanding should be undertaken approximately 3-4 hours after the sealer coat has been applied.

 

Mix the Swagat® Melamine resin & hardener in the ratio 9:1 and allow it to mature for 30 minutes. The mixture can be thinned using suitable Swagat® Melamine Thinner in the range of 20-40%. Application can be undertaken by spray, brush or using a clean muslin cloth. If two or more coats are to be applied, sand between each coat keeping an interval of 5-6 hours between each coat. Please note that the pot life of the mixed paint is about 8-10 hours.

 

Health and Safety

Material should be kept in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight. Approximate Flash Point is 25 C. Use gloves and goggles while working. In case of eye contamination wash with plenty of clean water and also consult with doctor.
